If you want a faster cut, blades with less TPI will do excellent. Lesser the teeth faster would be the action. But in case you are worried about speed, you can choose a coarse-toothed blade that bears only 1TPI. You can buy carbon steel blades that are T-shaped or U-shaped. The manufacturer’s catalog helps you with the features in case you are not sure. 10-12TPI is just perfect if you wish fine cuts on wood. Whereas, metal cutting need blades of more TPI, it ranges to 25-30TPI.

Before starting work, you should make other materials to support the jigsaw function. The raw materials like wood, plastic, or metal need gathering. For safety purposes, masks, goggles, and earplugs must be worn. While executing work, you generate huge amounts of dust and debris. To keep the workshop organized, cover the floor with polythene. Other similar material that makes dust collection easier or use shop vac can get used.

Wood, however, doesn’t need a slower speed. In short, the most comfortable speed depends on the user’s choice. When buying, investigate whether speed regulators are present. They can regulate triggers to high and low speed.

In this step, the markings done earlier based on dimensional considerations becomes useful. The jigsaw is guided through the marks. But don’t apply force; this may damage the blade. Avoid complaints of the broken blade. Eventually, maintain a safe distance between the blade and your fingers.
